Do More With Less

July 28, 2017

So often it seems that the requirements and paperwork and logistics of jobs constantly require us to do more with less and that feeling of not getting anything back from those efforts. And although this may be true in some instances, I also think that we really struggle with being innovative and finding new solutions to the do more with less. To simplify and succeed. So often we are worried that change may result in failure or standardization of process is actually more work, as opposed to increasing efficiency, that we fail to evolve and grow. Yes, innovation is riddled with failures but that's how we learn and how we find new ways to improve our system. So the next time you are struggling with do more with less, I encourage you to think outside the box; brainstorm new ideas, ask others how could we make this job more efficient without adding resources? Can you find creative solutions? Can you create them?

For me, one of the areas I have struggled with is time to write, to type and to prepare notes, manuscripts, posts and other endeavors for which I have come to realization that dictation for me is a phenomenal asset. I can dictate on my phone when I'm walking or when I have five minutes to myself to work on something and then suddenly I have been so much more productive then when I wasn't using that time for anything other than surfing social media. Plus, it means I carry less "Trapper Keepers" as my husband likes to call my stacks of notebooks and folders. Less expense, I don't always write and then have to type. It takes less time do achieve my goals.

So, today think how can you truly do more with less. I challenge you to exceed your own expectations.

Taking my mask off in the past, was a simple, thoughtless endeavor. It was almost freeing, in fact, to take it off and discard the mask and never think about it again.

Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
